Should you update?
As mentioned above, this is a minor update except for one change – Group FaceTime calls. If you can’t live without this feature, you should, by all means, upgrade your Apple device.
Just remember, don’t install this update if you plan to switch to iPhone XS or XS Max somewhere down the line. The reason being that there’s no IPSW package available for these smartphones.
So, should you decided to update, you will not be able to restore your old backup until Apple seeds the appropriate firmware files for these devices.
